As a die hard Pontiac owner and restorer, I own numerous books regarding GTO, Lemans and other Pontiac models. It is good to have many books for reference.

For a small book not pocket-sized as advertised, but still small it packs a powerhouse of info. The author comes off as very knowledgeable. In writing this review, I actually had the opportunity to use this book while shopping for a GTO, and it was very easy and accurate. The book contains factoids, VIN decoding, options, production numbers, and many other items of interest to GTO owners. It also contains many very good pictures of GTOs, albeit some of which are not completely stock.
Unlike many other books of this sort, this book is laid out in a very convenient and easy-to-use manner that you don't need to be a master cryptographer to figure out. Still I think this is a great resource that every GTO owner or enthusiast should have on hand. Four stars, although I'd give it four and a half if I could. The definitive guide for GTO enthusiasts. Contains an incredible amount of information for a pocket-sized well, for the guys anyway!

I am fortunate to have several CarTech books in my library. I have found that all are painstakingly researched and chock full of dynamite photographs. The cover of the book states that Peter C. Sessler presents critical GTO data including everything from engine codes and rear axle identification to colors, options and VIN decoding. Throw it in the glove box of that restored GTO you proudly show and see if anyone can throw a question at you that can't be answered.
I think not. Great book! Only registered users can write reviews. Please, log in or register. Pete Sessler became interested in cars early. The acquisition of a Boss and later a Shelby GT convertible got the ball rolling. He began writing a one-page monthly column in and shortly after that wrote his first book. His web site, PeterCardassilariSessler. He still writes today and enjoys it immensely.
